Terms

Last updated October 10, 2026

By downloading or using Opal Music you agree to these terms.

What Opal is

Opal is an independent player for Apple Music on Windows, macOS and Linux. It is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc. You need your own active Apple Music subscription; Opal doesn't provide music or replace that subscription.

Pricing

Opal costs $2.99 every three months or $9.99 per year, plus any applicable tax, tied to the Apple ID you sign in with. New Apple IDs get one 7-day free trial; cancel before it ends and you won't be charged. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from the account menu in Opal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. If a renewal payment fails, Opal stops working until it's resolved. Prices may change; we'll tell you before a change affects you.

Refunds

If Opal isn't working for you, email us within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it.

Updates

Opal updates itself. Occasionally an update is required to keep working with Apple Music, and older versions may stop working.

Acceptable use

Use Opal in line with Apple's Media Services terms. Don't use it to copy, redistribute or strip protection from music.

No warranty

Opal is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use.
